Appreciation of Quality Care
By Ying P.
As a professional in healthcare industry for over two decades, I appreciate colleagues who demonstrate exceptional skills and mindset. After my right upper arm injury, a physical therapist worked on me for four months, only to see my muscle spasms worsened and spread to the left side and even to my lower back, along with development of spinal distortions including S-shaped scoliosis and a complete loss of cervical curve. I then saw an additional dozen “traditional” practitioners (physical therapists, chiropractors, “generic” massage therapists) over two years with little improvement.
My condition started to turn around once I was in the care of Wes Steffen, my neuromuscular therapist. He seamlessly incorporates multiple clinical modalities in each session to address both structural/anatomical imbalance and soft tissue dysfunction. In a short time (just over six months), Wes restored my cervical curve, substantially stabilized my cranium/pelvis, and significantly released myofascial tension throughout my body. Now I am pain-free; my posture, mobility, and ease of movement have never been this good in my adult life; and I have gained a new appreciation of specialist manual therapy. Wes specializes in a rare combination of treatment modalities that are largely ignored or misunderstood in the healthcare community. Moreover, Wes cares about his work, listens to client’s concerns, and closely monitors each client’s progress. He is truly a category of his own!
